Q: How did your journey begin?
A: Our journey began on December 1 2016 as we became the new owners of Acacia
Q: What’s the favourite part of your job?
A: The most favourite part is all the people we get to meet every day hearing their stores and sharing our beautiful park with them
Q: What’s your favourite part about the Ararat Region?
A: Our favourite part is everything Ararat has to offer. So much to see that we always try and convince travelers to spend more than one night–JWard and Aradale are fascinating; Gum San, the little museums, One Tree Hill–the views and sunset, the local wineries, the historic buildings, and the history that Ararat has
Q: Joining ARBA and expectations
A: We joined ARBA to learn and grow and to get to know other business owners. We are new to town and feel for one business to be successful everyone needs to work together and support each other In everything we have done, we have done our best to shop local and support all the other small businesses like us. I guess our expectations from ARBA is the place for businesses to come together, network, share successes, support and promote the town we live in.

Congratulation to the team at Hansen Design & Print for recently celebrating their 10th Anniversay

Geoff Penna gives us an insight into his business journey.

How did your journey begin?
Geoff and Jean Penna commenced Penna Print, on 1st March, 1978. Just 10 years ago sold to Hansen Design & Print.

What’s the favourite part of your job?
Meeting with people – business leaders, business operators, local residents or tourists should always remain important. This in turn allows for courteous and satisfying service.

What’s your favourite part about the Ararat Region?
The geographic location, couple with the varying natural beauty is often taken for granted; but we are constantly reminded by travellers ‘what a beautiful part of the world you live in”.
This area provides all the services that we so heavily rely upon, and expect.

Why I/we joined ARBA?
Back in 1978, under the business of Penna Print, I joined the then “Ararat Chamber of Commerce”. It was imperative that a new business to town should become involved with the business community. This was seen as a direct way of having input. For about 25 years I was involved in all roles on the executive and committee; including trader promotions.
